Group Meditation Trafalgar Square London 31st March 2012

I visited Trafalgar Square this weekend to attend a group meditation held there, organised by Wake up London. This group meditation was gently guided by a monk named Thich Nhat Hanh.

I was inspired to attend this event because the intentions “to sit in peace” with one another deeply connected with my own intentions. The intention that people can come together regardless of race, religion, age, beliefs, or gender and meditate or BE together is deeply inspiring. The presence of each and everyone’s consciousness, the energy radiating from their deeper being of peace, love and compassion was tangibly felt in the atmosphere. There were maybe 4,000 + people at the meditation, we sat for roughly 1 hour. There was a gently guided meditation focussing on being aware of our breath intertwined with compassionate imagination.

The event was full of vibrations of peace, love, joy, truth, and compassion. My own meditation was greatly amplified by being part of a collective meditation. I see that these type of events will continue to increase in size and numbers with time. Where people can come together, let go of all ideas of separation and dive into one’s own truth and being, radiating this truth, joy, simplicity through one’s presence. We can bring our true universal presence into each moment, radiating the qualities of our true being. This is how we can individually inspire one another and the entire world in each moment.

May we inspire one another,

through acts resonating with truth, joy and compassion.

May we inspire one another,

through speech resonating with truth, joy and compassion.

May we inspire one another,

through thoughts resonating with truth, joy and compassion.

May we inspire one another,

through expressing our true intentions.

May we inspire one another,

to radiate peace, harmony and compassion to Mother Earth.

May we inspire one another,

to discover the  truth within oneself.

May we inspire one another,

to share and radiate this truth in each moment.

Let us come together,

remembering our interconnectedness,

accepting our individual uniqueness,

by realizing our one essence. 🙂
