Outdoor Group Meditation In Leicester , UK

Feel free to meditate with us all outdoors this summer at Leicester Town Hall Sq. Meditate or pray in your own way.

~ Be Inspired And Inspire Others ~

This is a silent meditation which is open to all. It will take place on the benches surrounding the fountain which is outside of Leicester Town hall.  This will start at 6.30pm until 7.10pm on Friday 21st June 2013.

You may meditate using your own technique or you can mentally repeat a prayer. If you are new to meditation, then you can learn by coming to one of the classes I hold before this event OR through one of the many guided meditation available on Youtube. Something like watching the breath or just intuitively being.

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO EVERYONE NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SPIRITUAL TRADITION OR RELIGION IS. THE VERY ACT OF SITTING TOGETHER IN DEEP CONTEMPLATIVE SILENCE IS THE INTENTION BEHIND DOING THIS MEDITATION.

You may sit on the benches or if you wish to sit on the floor then please bring your own mat/cushions etc..

If you wish to bring a sign along with some inspiring quote/POSITIVE MESSAGE on it and leave it on display to the public whilst you meditate then you may do so… This is up to each individual.

Meditation Classes In Leicester, UK

Thank you to all that have been coming to the classes and also the support from fellow bloggers. The energy of inspiration which led me to starting these classes is now expressing itself. Everthing is just an expression of life itself!

I see that my guidance into meditation techniques, only creates the right atmosphere for something much deeper to occur. I find that each person becomes open and receptive to the energy of life and can connect to this unlimited source of energy, depending on their own receptivity and capacity. For some, this may mean they feel deeply relaxed, to improved concentration and absorption states,  to subtler experiences of reality, ultimately to the absolute truth of oneself. The space and energy of the group allows for all these possibilities and works upon each individual in its own unique way.

My vision is to make these meditation techniques and the space of group meditation more accessible to the wider public. I feel it could be helpful to people of all ages and of all backgrounds. The space and energy of group meditation will allow people to discover the different aspects and the absolute truth of who they are, as and when they are ready.

I see these classes will grow in their own way, paving new possibilities for people to live in harmony and peace with oneself. The peace and truth within needs to be discovered, for there to be peace and truth outside.

In truth, there is no inside or outside, there is just self-reflection.

WEEKLY MEDITATION CLASSES IN LEICESTER, UK

This meet up is in studio 1 in embrace arts at the Richard Attenborough centre, Leicester University.This is 10 mins away from Leicester city centre on Lancaster Rd.

These classes are open to everyone. It doesn’t matter what your religion, race, age or proficiency in meditation is. The meditation technique used consists of focusing our attention on our natural breath and being aware of our breath. This meditation technique helps to bring self awareness, in a natural way.

These classes will begin with a short relaxation exercise and then lead onto guided instructions for awareness of breathing meditation. Instructions will be given in each session, so beginners are not left out.

This meditation session will start with 15-20 minutes of meditation, followed with questions and then another short period of meditation. This is so people can learn the technique step by step. Old meditation practitioners may start their practice with or without instructions. These sessions will also allow meditators to practice their own meditation techniques or to intuitively be, along as it doesn’t disturb others. The intention is to create a supportive space for insight and transformation of oneself, through the use of meditation techniques.

The location for a weekly meditation group has yet to be confirmed.

I would like to start a regular weekly meditation session at the weekend and also evening sessions in different areas of Leicester. If you know of any venues or would like to start a similar meditation class in your area then please email me.

These classes are free of charge and will be funded by any donations given by participants. Donations will be welcomed at the classes. However, there is no obligation to give. These classes are free to ensure no one cannot attend due to financial circumstances. Also, I wish to share this information freely to whoever may be interested.

Regarding car parking :

At weekends and in the evening there is free car parking available in the Medical Sciences Building car park next door to Embrace Arts.
